MAJOR: THE CHANEL DALLAS FRINGE TWEED JACKET
One of Karl Lagerfeld's most celebrated and collectible collections for CHANEL was when he infused the Parisian glamour with the cowboy culture of Dallas, a reference to Coco Chanel's infamous visit to Dallas in the 1960's to meet the owners of Neiman Marcus.
APPROXIMATE MEASUREMENTS
Shoulder to shoulder ~17-21 inches (dropped / curved shoulder with no discernible shoulder seam).
Armpit to armpit ~19 inches across.
Sleeves ~23-24 inches not including wrist fringe and ~24-25 inches including wrist fringe. (dropped / curved shoulder with no discernible shoulder seam).
Armpit to bottom hem ~14.25 inches (front).
Length ~21 inches not including fringe collar (front, center.)
Length ~22.75 inches (back, center, not including fringe collar).
CONDITION
Excellent condition, this piece comes freshly dry cleaned from a couture certified dry cleaner.
There was one, faint tan mark on the sleeve that was removed. I've posted a detailed picture of the area for reference. Please note that the buttons are purposely distressed, playing into the Dallas cowboy theme.
