A beautiful console and occasional table.

**Please note: COLLECTION ONLY from Wolverhampton, WV11**

It has been constructed from thick reclaimed hardwood Iroko planks. The planks we have used to handcraft this beautiful piece originally belonged to a boat; a boat which was due to be scrapped. We decided to buy the wood and give it a new lease of life!

Iroko is used in both interior and exterior joinery, and originates from the West coast of Africa. Often described as ‘African Teak’ as it resembles both in colour and in the grain.

Iroko is a tough, dense and very durable hardwood timber. This piece has been cut, sanded, shaped and finally oiled with a high quality osmo oil.

Full of charm and character, this piece bears a great deal of character throughout, and like most reclaimed timber it still displays some marks, scars and blemishes from its incredible journey.

The legs of this piece when purchased were originally caked in several layers of thick paint. We painstakingly removed this paint to reveal a pair of the most stunnning, thick and heavy solid cast iron legs from a bygone age.

After completely removing all of the paint, we gave them two coats of metal lacquer which makes them even more striking.

Felt pads have been applied underneath to protect floors.
