Zharda is an archaic ornament of status, religious and symbolic significance.
Making jewelry in Ukraine has a long tradition dating back to the period of the Tripilian culture (IV-III millennium BC), when people already knew about the processing of metals and prepared the first decorations, which had always played an important role role in the life of Ukrainians. Stinks served not only an aesthetic function, but also served as amulets, symbols of social status and clan affiliation.
