Item: STERILIZER FOR CANNING JARS MADE OF CAST ALUMINUM RS

This is a metal disc with a convex shape and a central hole for steam passage. The jar sterilizer is placed on a pot or kettle of boiling water with the convex side facing upwards.

A jar is positioned upside down over the central hole of the sterilizer. Steam rises through this hole and processes the interior surface of the jar, thereby sterilizing it. Keep out of reach of children. Rinse before use and dry thoroughly.

The top of the sterilizer features 6 reinforcing ribs that divide it into six sections. These sections are illustrated with images of cucumbers, tomatoes, and other preserved foods. The bottom of the sterilizer has three cast rings of different diameters for a snug fit onto pots or kettles with varying top diameters.

The sterilization process is considered complete when droplets start forming and running down the inner surface of the jar, which occurs within a few minutes.
