In the publisher's original unclipped dust wrapper.
Illustrated with five plates by Herbert Vladimir Meyerowitz, an artist, educator and British colonial administrator in South Africa. Collated, complete.
The novel concerns the discovery of a tribe of Neanderthals on an island in the Pacific.
CONDITION
In the publisher's original cloth binding, with unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, exceptional, with small bump to spine head. Inscription to front free endpaper. Chipping and small losses of paper to dust wrapper back strip head, small closed tears to tail of back strip. Small chip to head of front wrap. Light tide marks and offsetting to wrap reverse. Internally, firmly bound. Pages clean and bright.
