Pistachio wood is gaining traction as an increasingly popular building material. Derived from the Pistacia vera tree, pistachio wood is particularly strong and lightweight, making it ideal for wood crafting. This particular pistachio came from a friend's orchard in California.

As a world renowned artisan, I was able to form this fine writing instrument through a painstaking process that involved several hours and stages in order to present a finely polished work of art. The blank was measured and drilled before inserting a brass tube. It then trued on each end before being placed on my Rikon midi-lathe for the shaping using various chisels. When the desired shape was achieved I then took them through a multi-stage sanding process finishing with nine steps of micro-mesh. Then several steps of cyanoacrylate for a protective finish. This was followed by a three step polishing with Aussie Oil and multiple steps of carnauba wax resulting in a glass like finish.

This fine writing instrument is destined to provide years of pleasure for the discriminating user. Its unique, one-of-a-kind design will speak volumes to your individuality, knowing that you are carrying the pride of handmade craftsmanship that is often lacking in a world of duplicity.
