This work was written by author and illustrator Mervyn Peake, who is best known for his 'Gormenghast' fiction series. In this work, Mervyn provides a study and guide to using the lead pencil, discussing the craft of the pencil and how to use the material. Throughout Mervyn has included examples of his own pencil drawings.


CONDITION

In the publisher's original cloth. Externally very smart with the odd spot to the front board, slight marks and light rubbing to the extremities. Internally generally firmly bound with slight strain and cords showing to the front and rear. Pages lightly age toned with scattered spotting.
