The story of Bodhisattva Phaya Tao Ruen in Thai belief that there will be luck and wealth and treasures fill your home. Prosperous trading and auspiciousness to worshipers.
It is believed that the Phaya Tao Ruen is a Bodhisattva who saves humans from danger. which appears in one chapter of the Scriptures that at that time King Thossaphon lived as a big turtle. He had a huge body and ate only leaves. And he lived on a hilltop on a deserted island in the middle of the sea, and his body was as big as a large house, so it was called Tao Ruen (it means big turtle).
Until one day, a merchant's junk was wrecked in front of the island. The merchants and sailors survived but were starved. Because on the island there is no food to eat, not even any meat except for the big turtle (Phaya Tao Ruen)
So the Bodhisattva (Phaya Tao Ruen) saw that all the merchants and sailors were starving to death, and he was dejected, and he thought that he too had a lot of flesh and age. If he were to die according to his age, his body would rot and be useless. So he dedicated his body to alms.
So he crawled to the cliff and threw himself down. His shell was shattered by the impact of the stone face. His flesh flowed out to the ground below. Then merchants and sailors brought turtle meat to eat as food. So they survived. From the action of a Bodhisattva to dedicate his body by sliding down the cliff, it is known as "Phaya Tao Ruen" (In Thai, the word slide is a homophone of Ruen)
Therefore, guru monks in the past created a sacred object in the image of Phaya Tao Ruen. which is believed to make good trade Because Phaya Tao Ruean is considered to be in one of the lives of the Lord Buddha. He was once born as a Phaya Tao Ruen and gave his life to starving people.
There is a belief that Phaya Tao Ruean amulet is a rare item. At present, the master has created a turtle amulet with sacred characters on the turtle and chanted it to be magical.
ตำนาน พระโพธิสัตว์ พญาเต่าเรือน ใน ความเชื่อ ของไทย ให้มีโชคลาภ เงินทองหลั่งไหลมาไม่ขาดสาย ค้าขายเจริญก้าวหน้า และเป็นสิริมงคลแก่ผู้บูชา
มีความเชื่อ กันว่า พญาเต่าเลือน คือ พระโพธิสัตว์ผู้ช่วยมนุษย์ให้รอดจากอันตราย ซึ่งมีปรากฏอยู่ในพระไตรปิฎกตอนหนึ่งว่าครั้งนั้นสมเด็จพระทศพลเสวยพระชาติเป็นพญาเต่า ท่านมีร่างกายอันใหญ่โตและกินแต่ใบไม้ และท่านอาศัยบนยอดเขาบนเกาะร้างกลางทะเลและร่างกายของพระองค์ใหญ่เท่ากับเรือนหลังใหญ่ ๆ จึงเรียกกันว่า เต่าเรือน
จนกระทั่งวันหนึ่งมีเรือสำเภาของพ่อค้ามาอับปางลงที่หน้าเกาะ พ่อค้าและลูกเรือรอดชีวิตมาได้แต่ก็ต้องอดอยาก เพราะบนเกาะไม่มีอาหารการกินแม้แต่เนื้อสัตว์ใดๆก็ไม่มี ยกเว้นเต่าตัวใหญ่ (พญาเต่าเรือน)
ดังนั้น พระโพธิสัตว์ เห็นพ่อค้าและลูกเรือกำลังจะอดตายกันหมด ท่านจึงสลดใจ และท่านคิดว่าตัวเขาเองก็มีเนื้อมากอีกทั้งอายุก็มากแล้ว หากต้องตายไปตามอายุร่างกายก็จะเน่าเปื่อยหาประโยชน์ไม่ได้ ท่านจึงอุทิศร่างกายตนเป็นทาน
ท่านจึงคลานมาที่หน้าผาแล้วทิ้งตัวลงไป กระดองของท่านแตกกระจายเนื่องจากกระแทกกับแง่หิน เนื้อของท่านก็ไหลออกมากองอยู่ที่พื้นด้านล่าง แล้วพ่อค้ากับลูกเรือได้นำเนื้อเต่าไปกินเป็นอาหาร พวกเขาจึงรอดตาย จากการกระทำของ พระโพธิสัตว์ ในการอุทิศร่างกายโดยการเลื่อนลงมาจากหน้าผานั้นเลยเรียกกันว่า “พญาเต่าเลื่อน” (ในภาษาไทยคำว่าเลื่อนจะพ้องเสียงว่าเลือน)
ดังนั้นพระสงฆ์เกจิอาจารย์ในสมัยก่อนจึงได้สร้างวัตถุมงคลเป็นรูปพญาเต่าเรือน ซึ่งเชื่อว่าจะทำให้ทำมาค้าขายดี เพราะถือว่าพญาเต่าเรือนอยู่ในชาติหนึ่งขององค์สมเด็จพระสัมมาสัมพุทธเจ้านั้น
พระองค์เคยเกิดเป็นพญาเต่าเลือนและได้สละชีวิตแก่ผู้คนที่อดอยาก
มีความเชื่อว่าเครื่องรางพญาเต่าเรือนเป็นของที่หายาก ปัจจุบันเกจิอาจารย์ได้สร้างเครื่องรางที่เป็นรูปเต่าและมีอักขระศักสิทธิ์บนตัวเต่าแล้วนำไปปลุกเสกให้มีความขลัง
