In "BurgerTime," an arcade game released by Data East in 1982, players take on the role of chef Peter Pepper as he assembles a giant hamburger. However, the burger's ingredients - meat, lettuce, and tomatoes - are sabotaged by three enemy characters, Winky, Daisy, and Bart, who chase Peter.

The game was so popular that it was ported to numerous platforms; in 1985 it was also ported for the Family Computer (NES), and various versions have been released since then. The NES version of "BurgerTime" has slightly different graphics and music than the original arcade version, but the basic gameplay is similar.
