* Installing a newer, smaller flush toilet may lead to sewer and septic problems or require two or more flushes every time to get waste all the way gone and not backing up.

*Plumbing and rough in problems may arise, disposal of the old toilet may be a problem, overall dimensions of a new toilet may be an issue, colors of new toilets may not match sink and tub, antique themed bathrooms or brand name themes may not retain their theme anymore after putting a cheap new toilet in and decrease the value of your home, etc.

Tips on ordering a colored item:

*Be very careful when ordering a colored item because most companies have many shades of each color. Kohler for example has SIX different shades of pink!

*Figure out the correct color name of what you have before you order. What you may call “bone” color someone else might call “off-white” or “almond” or “linen” or “beige” or “blush” or “cream” or “sand” or some other name.

*Don’t trust photos of colors! Photographs of colors on a computer screen can be deceiving. What you see on your screen may appear darker or lighter than the actual color of the item. The item may have been photo’d with a flash, without a flash, in the shade or in the sun which can affect the appearance. Also, don’t forget we all see colors slightly differently because our eyes are see differently.

*Before ordering a colored item please email me and we can discuss the best way to confirm a color match. There are many easy/free/fast ways to confirm color.

*Keep your bathroom set uniform in color. Toilet, Sink, and Tub should match. Mismatched sets look mismatched and decrease value of a home. Colored bathroom fixtures make a bathroom stand out and add value to your home. A small investment now will pay off in the future when you sell your home.

Colored Porcelain Lids, Tanks, and Bowls (Not White)

You are viewing a listing for a colored (not white) porcelain item. The specific color in the title is made by my best effort of matching with the Bemis Color Selection Guide.  It is a booklet with color chips for many different toilet brands. I have been matching toilet colors since 2007 and am usually correct, but it is not 100% science. Color codes are not stamped. Repeat. Color codes are not stamped. This would make color matching much easier. Keep in mind photos can be deceiving of color. I could take a photo of the same lid in 5 different rooms and it would look 5 different colors in the photos. Want a 100% match send me a small piece of your broken porcelain in the USPS mail for just a couple bucks. Research your color online. Enter the brand name of your toilet and the color. For example Kohler green. You will discover that there are atleast 7 different shades of green that Kohler has made in the last 100 years. Research increases the chance of a color match and decreases the chance of a painful return. I cannot confirm a color match from your photograph, but sending me a photo of a sheet of toilet paper resting on your porcelain lid in good lighting is a good idea.
