This DVD will NOT play on standard DVD players in USA, Canada, Mexico, Central America, Caribbean, South America, Asia, Australia, New Zealand.

This DVD (and any other DVD released anywhere in the world) will play just fine on any multi-region DVD player, bought in USA or elsewhere. It will also play on most computers' DVD drives. Some consumers actually own a multi-region DVD player, without knowing it. All you need to do if you own such Philips, Akai, CyberHome or other DVD player is to use your remote control to switch it to multi-region mode. As such features are almost always not documented by the DVD player's manufacturer, we'd recommend you check your DVD player's capabilities by searching the web for the words 'videohelp DVD Player and Blu-ray Player region codes' and choosing the very first link found.
For our USA customers, if you need an advise for a inexpensive ($30-$40) US DVD player, please feel free to contact us or to read our recommenations here: Our DVD player recommendations. Please keep in mind that we do not sell DVD players.

This DVD does not contain pornographic material and may be lawfully sold to and viewed by minors.

Synopsis:
Marchlands is the gripping story of three different families living in the same house across three generations, the 1960s, 1980s and the present day. The families are linked by the spirit of a young girl, Alice - the daughter of a family that lived in the house in 1968, who died under mysterious circumstances. This distinctive contemporary drama stars an ensemble cast including Jodie Whittaker (Cranford; Venus) playing Ruth Bowen, the grieving mother living in Marchlands in the 1960s, with her husband, Paul (Jamie Thomas King - Tudors) who is struggling to cope with her difficult and dominating mother-in-law, Evelyn Bowen, played by Tessa Peake-Jones (Only Fools and Horses). Alex Kingston (ER; Doctor Who) stars as Helen Maynard, who plays the mother of a 1980s family who becomes concerned by her daughter's imaginary friend called Alice and finally Shelley Conn (Mistresses) plays Nisha, who moves to Marchlands with her partner, Mark (Elliot Cowan - The Fixer) and are expecting a baby. As the atmospheric story weaves through the three generations of families up to the present day, the truth about what really happened to Alice emerges.

A supernatural drama telling the story of three different families living in the same house in 1968, 1987 and the present day, linked by the spirit of the young daughter of the 1960s family, who drowned in mysterious circumstances.
