   Memory card not included

With the GameBoy Advance's audio capabilities, it was inevitable that someone would take advantage of them by converting it into a full-on portable music player. But what if someone took it a step further and added the ability to view BMP images and read text documents? Well, someone has. With Innovation Technologies' GBA MP3 Player, anyone can download music in the form of MP3 files to their GBA and play them back anywhere and at any time. Simply use the enclosed software to transfer MP3 songs, BMP images or text (.doc) files from your PC to the cartridge via USB cable (included). Then just pop the cartridge into your GBA and play them back at will.

How well does it work? No complaints here about execution or sound. The downloading process is simple and the audio quality is as good as any MP3 player on the market. The BMP viewing option works rather well also, as far as the GBA's LCD will allow. And the text reader opens up a host of possibilities (think e-books). The GBA MP3 Player is smart media card compatible, so you can have as much or as little memory as you are willing to buy.

Which brings me to my only complaint. The GBA MP3 Player comes equipped with everything you could hope for (cartridge, USB cable, earphones, carrying strap, detailed instructions and PC software) except a memory card. Without one, there really isn't a whole lot that you can do with it considering the size of the files that it uses, so purchasing a smart card is a must. Granted, memory cards are cheap (twenty bucks for Innovation's 16MB card) which is all the more reason to include one.

Aside from that, the GBA MP3 Player is a solid buy. It's easy to use and works like a champ. For about sixty bucks you can get one just about anywhere games are sold or online

6.To erase, name, add or change files of any kind on the SMC card you need your computer to do this. The Mp3 player is only a device to convert the files from computer to SMC Card and then into your GBA so you can view or hear them on your GBA. If you want to name songs etc. you need to do this using your computer. If you want a lot of songs then It Would be best to buy SMC cards of 64mb or more. Most songs are from 1 to 4mb’s. A good rule of thumb is 1 minute of a song equals 1MB of memory so a 64mb SMC card will hold 64minutes of music. That’s kind of like a custom CD you can bring with you that you can change anytime you w
