RECORD penna laminata in oro 14 Kt.R vintage anni '30 

La Record è stata una ditta costruttrice di penne stilografiche, anche di alta qualità, fondata dai fratelli Cavaliere a Milano a metà degli anni '20, azienda che operò come produzione di penne proprie ed anche come laboratorio per le penne con rivestimento dorato di Aurora, Kaweco, Waterman etc.

Questa rara penna stilografica d'epoca della Record, forse il più noto tra i marchi dei fratelli Cavaliere insieme ad Universal e Ideal, è di circa 80/90 anni di età, un modello di piccole dimensioni, interamente rivestita in metallo dorato, il classico "gold overlay" tanto famoso in quegli anni, che era tipico, ovviamente, delle penne di alta gamma, lavorazione nella quale le maestranze di cavaliere erano tra le due/tre migliori d'Europa.                                                                                                                                                       La penna è anni '30  con caricamento dal fondellino svitabile e pennino fisso.In condizioni molto buone, senza botte o graffi, ed il rivestimento in oro è ancora integro e bellissimo.

Il decoro della penna si estende dal cappuccio al fusto lungo tutta la superficie, ed è geometrico, con parti a "grana di riso" .       Questa penna è con clip, pur essendo lunga solamente 100mm, una penna per l'epoca "unisex", anche gli uomini amavano spesso le penne piccole, davvero molto elegante.

Il suo pennino è un DUCHESSA oro 585, (in oro 14k ) e la lunghezza della penna, chiusa, è di 100mm.

Questa penna è un oggetto vintage, viene da una bella collezione e non è stata testata per l'uso.

Record was a manufacturer of fountain pens, also of high quality, founded by the Cavaliere brothers in Milan in the mid 1920s, a company that operated as a producer of its own pens and also as a workshop for the gold-coated pens of Aurora, Kaweco, Waterman etc.This rare vintage fountain pen by Record, perhaps the best known of the Cavaliere brothers' brands together with Universal and Ideal, is about 90 years old. It is a small model, entirely coated in gold metal, the classic 'gold overlay' so famous in those years, which was typical, of course, of top-of-the-range pens, a process in which Cavaliere's craftsmen were among the two/three best in Europe.

The pen is circa 1930/40, so it is, as already mentioned, about ninety years old, and it is not a safety with a retractable nib, but rather a pen with an unscrewable butt filler and fixed nib.This pen now for sale is in excellent condition indeed, really nice and well preserved, with no bumps or scratches, and the gold coating is still intact and beautiful.The decoration of the pen extends from the cap to the barrel along the entire surface, and is geometric, with 'rice grain' parts, all very well bound and charming.

It is clip-mounted, despite being only 100mm long, a 'unisex' pen for the time, even men often liked small pens, very elegant indeed.

Its nib is an DUCHESSA, also marked ORO 575 ( 14k gold )
