A lovely copy of the first trade edition of Campoamor's defining work on rum cocktails published in July of 1984, The colophon suggests that Campoamor had self published the work in 1981, yet we can find no substantial record of the previous work. Prior to his fame as an historian of food and drink, Campoamor worked as journalist in Havana before and after the Revolution, developing ties with Neruda, Hemingway, Guillén and other luminaries of the era. Coctelería Cubana is still sought after today by bartenders and cocktail aficionados. Scarce, especially in such good condition
