ASTM A36 Mild Steel is the most commonly available steel on the market today. A36 Steel Angle is categorized as a structural steel and is very economical. A36 Steel Angle is generally bolted, riveted or welded. It is commonly used for bracing, framing or bracketing. The Hot Rolling manufacturing process results in a finish that is somewhat rough. The Yield strength is significantly less than that of its Cold-Rolled counterpart 1018. This will allow the material to bend much more quickly than 1018 Steel. Machinability is also a bit more difficult.
