Beautiful Mata Ortiz Mexican art pottery blackware pot vase with handpainted designs in matte black slip on the polished black surface. This is signed by the artist, Matilde de Quezada, who does not seem to be related to the family of Juan Quezada, the father of the modern Mata Ortiz pottery movement. This measures approx  4.5" tall x  5" W x  5" D. weighs 8.2 oz. It has no issues. It does stand alone but should be in some kind of stand. Base is a bit rounded.
