Excellent magazine illustration titled "The Rock of Gibraltar" by noted artist and illustrator Charles Dana Gibson."
Covers 2-page center pages. Illustration was carefully removed from old and damaged magazine.
It had originally appeared in the June 1928 issue of Hearst International's COSMOPOLITAN magazine.
On the back side of these two pages is part of an unrelated article, and a illustration of Doctor Artz, by W. Smithson Broadhead.
I didn't have access to the entire magazine, so I don't know what article the Gibson illustration was associated with.
Original magazine pages; center 2-page spread; illustration on 2 pages; edges trimmed to eliminate minor damage;
some minor wrinkles and bends; see photos attached...
The left side of the illustration page measures 7 3/8" x 11". The right side page measures 7" x 11".
I'll place the two pages inside a plastic sleeve and add a piece of white foam board for protection while mailing by USPS Ground Advantage in a bubble envelope.
I'll mail the same day, or next day after payment is received.
