Vintage Mid Century Italian Majolic Pedestal Centerpiece Blue Bird Hand Painted.

Stunning and unusual mid century Majolica style ceramic Italian centerpiece pedestal bowl on raised stylized branches. 

This piece is marked and numbered, 1/159.

It has an applied blue bird sitting upon a raised branch with an acorn, and a hand painted pear and grape motif against the cream background. The colors are primarily blue, orange, green, purple, and brown. This piece is an very good vintage condition. It does have a small chip on the bottom of the pedestal branch and there is crazing of the glaze, which only enhances the charm of this piece (see photos).

Truly a wonderful and hard to come by piece. 

It measures approximately 12" L x 9.5" W x 5" H. It weighs over 2lbs.
