Restoration Component Kit for the Heathkit SB-614 Station Monitor.

Bring that nostalgic Heathkit Monitor Scope back to life with this restoration kit.

The multi-function monitor scope is a highly desirable part of the SB series collection.

This is a component kit that is one for one replacement for all of the electrolytic and high voltage capacitors.

As well as the rectifier and Zener diodes.

There is no instruction guide for this kit as it is just component replacement using the original manual layout.

The components for this unit are pricey and getting harder to find. I often find many of the Zener diodes and HV caps out of stock in distributors. So get your kit while they are available.

This kit will include the following:

QTY 3: 0.1uF 1600v Film Capacitors-Axial

QTY 2: 80uF(min) 450V electrolytic capacitors-Axial (replaces 70uF)

QTY 3: 47uF 16v electrolytic capacitors-radial ((replaces 50uF)

QTY 3: 330uF 25v electrolytic capacitors-radial (replaces 250uf)

QTY 2: 10uF 50v electrolytic capacitors-radial

QTY 4: 1N4148 75v 300ma switching diodes (D201/202/203/204)

QTY 2: 3KV .25A High knee voltage rectifier (D105/106)

QTY 1: 110v 1W Zener diode (ZD101)

QTY 1: 10V 1W Zener diode (ZD103)

QTY 1: 68V 1W Zener diode (ZD102)

QTY 7: 1KV 1A rectifier diodes (D1/D107/D108/D109/D111/D112/D113)

Please note that D105/D106 are high knee voltage rectifier diodes. They require at least 18VDC to open the PN junction. They will commonly test open with a Multimeter (including VTVM's).

If they test as a short, they are usually bad and/or the 0.1uF capacitors have failed. In either case, you should replace these diodes.

I reserve the right to substitute components. So if you get a 1 watt 330k ohm and the pic shows a 1/2 watt, please understand I have to navigate supply chain issues as well. Sometimes 1/2 watts are out of stock and/or a 1 watt is cheaper.Or the blues ones are out of stock and I have to get black ones.These parts are aftermarket. NOT OEM.If you find an issue with the components, please, please reach out to me so I can help resolve the issue. I do not mark the resistors. I expect you to either know how to read resistor codes and/or use an ohm meter to validate you did install the 3.3M ohm resistor instead of the 330 ohm resistor.
