As standard most vehicles will use 26-30mm thread length - however this can vary with the addition of spacers and aftermarket wheels.
A very simple way to work out the thread length required with a spacer set up is to simply remove an original bolt, then measure the thread. You then add this thread length to your spacers thickness.
Example - Renault Clio 2018 (26mm thread) + 12mm spacer = 38mm - As you cannot get a 38mm bolt you need to go for the closest (within 2-4mm maximum). In this example it would be 40mm. It's important to gently spin the wheel after fitting to ensure the extra length isn't hitting anything like the brake-disk behind the wheel, but with 2mm extra this would be very unlikely.
