Wood pulp pressed into molds was a popular medium back in the 1940s and 50s, and was used the way we now use plastic resin - for pretty much everything. One of he country's leading users, for knick knack and souvenirs, was Syroco Wood, in Syracuse, New York. This perpetual desk calendar still has the remnants of a Syroco Wood sticker on its bottom and in in good, age-related condition -- there are no chips or cracks. The calendar features a pair of sailing ships, flanking two complete sets of cards: one of months and one of dates.
The perpetual calendar is approx. 7 1/2" long x 2 1/4" wide x 3 1/2" tall
