Tiny compression springs are often used in the camera lenses, commonly found beneath the ball bearings in the aperture ring. It is exceedingly difficult to find because of its small size, which makes it a non-generic spring. These cuttable springs from Polar Bear Camera can be cut to the right length; simply cut them with a wire cutter.
Please measure the spring's external diameter with a calliper before placing the order.
Use a wire cutter that is capable of cutting 1mm+ steel wire. Using an improper cutter might damage the blade, deform the spring and increase the risk of flying particles. Always wear safety glasses or goggles, or a face shield, when cutting.
