Tiny extension springs are often used in cameras and lenses, commonly found in the aperture assemblies, mount mechanisms, shutter boxes, and so on. It is exceedingly difficult to find because of its small size, which makes it a non-generic spring. These cuttable springs from Polar Bear Camera can be cut to the right length; simply cut them with a wire cutter. Instructions are provided on the back of the packaging card.
Please measure the spring's external diameter with a calliper before placing the order.
Use a wire cutter that is capable of cutting 1mm+ steel wire. Using an improper cutter might damage the blade, deform the spring and increase the risk of flying particles. Always wear safety glasses or goggles, or a face shield, when cutting.
