You are bidding on a vintage “Press Photo” meaning that this is an original silver print used by Newspapers or other Publications prior to the digital era. As it is a vintage press photo, it may contain wrinkles, creases, grease paint or other markings, paper loss or tears. Please study the scans carefully to assess condition.

We do not grade our photographs but they would adhere to one of the four following “Types” as categorized by PSA. Our notes below (BOLD italicized) should help you determine which "Type" you are bidding on.

  • ●  Type I – A 1st generation photograph, developed from the original negative, during the period (within approximately two years of when the picture was taken). Look for the earliest date stamps on the back of the print.

  • ●  Type II – A photograph, developed from the original negative, during the period (more than approximately two years after the picture was taken). Again, pay attention to date stamps and other notations.

  • ●  Type III – A 2nd generation photograph, developed from a duplicate negative or wire transmission, during the period (within approximately two years of when the picture was taken). These prints will often have the caption information on the front of the image, or appear softer than a print made directly from the negative.

  • ●  Type IV – A 2nd generation photograph (or 3rd or later generation), developed from a duplicate negative or wire transmission, during a later period (more than approximately two years after the picture was taken). Same as above and look for the date stamps, or the transmission date in the wire caption.

$5.50 First Class shipping in the US. Combined shipping available for multiple photo orders. Orders of 4 or less photos will incur $0.00 extra charges and be shipped at the same rate as an individual photograph. Larger orders will receive an adjusted invoice to reflect extra shipping costs, usually just a dollar or two depending upon location/weight. Orders over 1LB must be shipped using Priority Mail.

INTERNATIONAL BUYERS. Shipping will be charged depending on buyer's location, ranging from $21-24 for items 8oz or less, and an additional $8-10 for orders between 9 and 16 oz. Heavier orders will be priced on a case-by-case basis.
