Sony FD-555 Mega Watchman Portable AM/FM Radio Cassette Player B&W TV Needs Repair

Vintage very cool Sony Mega Watchman boombox. Has 2.375" B&W TV with UHF and VHF reception, cassette tape player and AM FM radio. Includes surround sound feature. Will operate on batteries (D-Cell) or car power adapter (not-included). Has a slide-up carrying handle and telescoping antenna (not bent, good condition). Really neat piece of vintage 1980s technology! S/N B111953

original Sony Mega Watchman radio, tape player and TV.  All three features work. I've noticed that there is a ticking or poping noise that comes over the speakers. After a while the unit will turn off on it's own and it takes a few minutes for the unit to turn back on. TV turns on, radio plays very well, both radio bands work well. Antenna extends and retracts easily. Not bent. Battery compartment cover is there. No corrosion on the battery contacts. Speakers sound very nice. No distortion. Exceptional exterior condition.
