Welcome to the sale of this lovely old copper.

Originally made for boiling water these riveted coppers have a great decorative look and are useful for all sorts of things. Obviously they make great planters both in the garden and the home, this one is not drilled so holds water well. They also make ideal log baskets as the copper catches reflections from the fire nicely. However I have also seen them used to good effect as towel stores in guesthouses as well as bottle coolers at weddings etc. This example has a nice aged patina and is marked 8 Gall A&L, so the size and the maker.

The copper measures (in cm) 32 tall by 46 wide.   It weighs 4.2kg

 I offer free delivery on many of our items, however delivery shown is for the UK mainland only. There will be a surcharge for some addresses in Northern Ireland, the Isle of Wight, the Isle of Man, the Scilly Isles and the Highlands and islands of Scotland. You are more than welcome to collect or I can deliver locally if needed.
