This valve plate is for 2-3/8" Cylinder Bore Units.
It is made out of metal it includes gaskets/seals in this assembly.
The purpose of the valve plate is to allow air into the cylinder
Once the piston starts traveling up the reeds on the valve plate open and air is sent into the air tank
Overtime the reeds will become worn and the valve plate will need to be replaced
This is also a good time to replace the head gaskets
This kit includes both O-ring gaskets
