This listing is for a cute vintage ceramic Peanut shaped covered dish with a little Squirrel on the lid! This dish would be great for nuts or candy! I have seen a couple versions of this novelty dish online. This particular one is painted in a very nice eggshell type of finish ( not very glossy) in a varigated brown color. The squirrel on top is glossy, and the interior finish glazing is also glossy. I notice that the glazing from the squirrel kind of pools underneath him, which I think must indicate that it was glazed with the squirrel in place.

I have no idea who the manufacturer if this dish is. I see no markings or identification.

This fun little dish is in very good used condition. I don't see any chips or cracks. There is a little crazing on the interior. Take a look at the photos for details.

This dish measures about 8 inches long and about 4 inches tall.
