Eva Kaufman, painter and ceramic artist, born
in 1929, Argentina.
Eva Z. Kaufman was born in San Miguel de
Tucumán, Argentina to a family of Russian emigres.
She studied painting and ceramics in art school in Buenos Aires.
In 1953-1954, she received a scholarship to study art in Paris and studied there
mosaics and ceramic painting.
In 1955, she immigrated to Israel with her husband.
In addition to painting, Kaufman creates figurative ceramic sculpture.
She has made wall murals for many public buildings with well-known architects
(Dora Gad, Arieh El-Hanani, Rafi Blumenfeld and more), among them an abstract
ceramic wall at the Knesset in Jerusalem, a wall at the National Insurance
Institute in Rehovot, and a wall on the ship S.S. Nili and in the municipal
library in Kfar Saba.
Kaufman works in different techniques: painting, sculpture, engraving, ceramics
and painting in ceramics.
She presented in solo and group exhibitions in Israel and around the world.
