Necklace African Safari One Of A Kind with 1960 Swaziland Africa beads plus tin litho Safari car and 1950s Cracker Jack and new lucite. A most outstanding museum quality ooak statement necklace which began with a tagged 1960 yellow and white glass Swaziland Africa ( now Eswatini, Africa) bead necklace. That old tag reads:Unusually simply but dramatic yellow & white necklace of native women Aug 15 1960 obtained from native market of Mrs. Ian Hasack Bremersdorf Swaziland. I have glazed the tag and added a few beautiful beads to it for your keepsake. ( I believe it was a collector or possibly a documentarian who labeled it).
The necklace is composed of this yellow one attached to 3 black and white tiers with black beads, 1950s Cracker Jack elephant prize charms further attached to black, white and yellow beads, dangling lucite drops, and metal rings in silvers and golds. The pendant is composed of a new tin litho Safari car showing happy animals inside driving through the plain on beautiful geometric lucite disks in black, bright yellow, creamy tones and softer yellow. Signed.
Around the neck measures 18” adjustable at the smallest, and the pendant portion hangs 5.75”. I add my tiny gold metal engraved tag so you know it is my one of a kind work.
