Description Partners in Crime is an American crime drama TV series set in San Francisco, California, that aired from September 27 to December 29, 1984. The show starred Lynda Carter as Carole and Loni Anderson as Sydney, two women with little in common except sharing Raymond as an ex-husband. When Raymond winds up murdered, Carole and Sydney set out to find his killer and eventually decide to run the detective agency Raymond has left them. Despite having two of TV's hottest stars onboard, the series was set to fail from the start. The show's creator and director was canned by the network after the pilot was completed, which lead to him walking with the writing team and their 13 episode scripts. The team the network brought in changed the show to be less character driven and pump up the sex appeal, so pretty much everything after the pilot was a downhill slide packed with T&A. Speaking of, the two-hour pilot that laid down the premise of the show was actually aired after the first three episodes by the network, so anyone who managed to stick with the series that started on episode two was probably just a little confused.
