Description Among the dealership-based supercar builders of the 1960s and '70s - including Yenko, Nickey, Grand Spaulding Dodge, and Royal Pontiac, most of these dealerships of the muscle era offered what was known as a 'supercar' service, which essentially provided a brand new, stock-bodied vehicle with plenty of extra horses, using either a highly tuned factory power plant or a high-performance crate engine. Baldwin Chevrolet took a slightly different approach, taking new Chevys sold through its dealership in Baldwin, New York (Long Island), and then delivered them to Joel Rosen's Motion Performance speed shop (also in Baldwin), where they became street-legal, turn-key drag cars. many of which had optional custom body kits that ranged from mild to wild. The partnership between the two companies allowed clients to buy a built-to-order street machine, limited only by their imagination and financial resources. Baldwin's cars even came with a written, money-back, quarter-mile performance guarantee and his cars could even be financed through GMAC courtesy of the dealership pipeline. Measurements presented in size charts are based on manufacturer provided specifications. As garments are handmade and of natural materials, variations in sizing can occur. Manufacturing tolerances allow for up to 1" (one inch) of variance from the posted measurements up or down. In the event that the measurements are off more than 1" from the size chart, we will gladly replace the item at no charge. For those with 1" or less, we can simply exchange the item for another in the same size or a different size of your choosing.
