Seattle Rainiers 1938 Vintage Men's T-Shirt

Design Description The Seattle Rainiers were a longtime Minor League Baseball club that played in the Pacific Coast League from 1903 to 1906 and again from 1919 through 1968. Originally known as the Seattle Indians, the team became the Rainiers after being purchased by the Rainier Brewing Company, itself named for nearby Mount Rainier. The club enjoyed some of its greatest success under owner Emil Sick, including PCL pennants in 1951 and 1955. Following the 1960 season, the Rainiers were sold to the Boston Red Sox, who later sold the franchise to the California Angels in 1965. Renamed the Seattle Angels, the team enjoyed one final championship season in 1966, winning the PCL's Western Division before defeating the Tulsa Oilers for Seattle's last Pacific Coast League pennant. The Angels played their final season in 1968, clearing the way for Seattle's move into Major League Baseball with the expansion Seattle Pilots in 1969. The Pilots lasted just one troubled season before bankruptcy forced the franchise's sale to a group headed by Bud Selig, who moved the club to Milwaukee in 1970, where it became the Brewers. We recommend taking one of your current t-shirts, laying it flat and measuring it. The measurements in the chart below are taken with the shirt laying on a flat surface. To get the length, measure from the high shoulder point down to the bottom of the shirt. To get the width, measure approximately 1-inch below the armhole, across the chest, from seam to seam. While our tees are all made using premium, pre-shrunk, ring-spun cotton, there can be some shrinkage depending on your personal wash and dry cycles. With that said, if you’re on the fence, we always suggest going up a size. All sizes are provided in inches! Please note that variations in sizing of up to 1.5 inches are possible.
