This Lovely Alice Caviness Cross Brooch Pin and Necklace Chain Pendant is simply stunning. This piece is designed with a combination or lavender art glass and amethyst purple and peridot green navette and chaton rhinestones in an open work gold plated setting.

This unusual design can be found in Juliana Jewelry Reference by Anne Pittman on page 108 so it is understandable to believe this to be Juliana. However, subsequent to the book publication, this piece has been determined to not have been made by D&E by a group continuing to work on verifying pieces. This was actually made by Alice Caviness and has been confirmed. As gorgeous as this piece is, it may not matter and whoever did make this piece, well they did superb work. It is a beauty.

I do believe this chain to be the original although I can't say with certainty and it is simply my opinion. The bale can readily accommodate another chain.

Exceptional condition, the brooch pin measures 3 1/2" x 2 1/2" and weighs 39 grams and the chain measures 24" long. This is a wonderful piece.
