In most cases, you need to remove the bumper to install the parts into the headlights.
The installation process is pretty easy to do.
Once you remove the headlights, you need to insure the original bulbs are left installed and tucked into the housing. Extra heat sinks are provided for the OE units so they do not overheat.
The new boards are placed instead of the original units and the BLUETOOTH controller needs to be placed inside with power and ground connected directly to the battery source.

This product is not just RGB, it is RGBW! That means there is an extra LED chip that is specifically white in color, right next to the standard red, green, and blue LEDs. By using an RGBW controller, you can activate and control the white chip independently of the colors. This provides a much more uniform, pure, and bright white color than the traditional method of combining all RGB signals so you can keep a clean, factory white appearance for everyday driving, in case the other colors are too risky in certain environments.
One RGBW Bluetooth Controller will control both lights and is univerally available in any app store.
We have produced a technologically advanced RGBW LED board for almost every single new model. This board replacement allows us to easily replace existing "static" white or off-white LED DRL lights on almost every single new BMW, Tesla, Chevrolet, Dodge, and almost all light duty trucks. These boards produce equal or brighter light than the originals. Our RGBW LED DRL boards give you added style and functionality at your fingertips using our bluetooth universally available app (from Google App Store or Apple Store)
The key is that the original factory optics are untouched, so it's completely plug and play inside the headlight (thought some models may need lens removal for access). The final result is almost always able to be locked completely inside the headlight without any additional wires or connections. And we can refer you to qualified installers OR do the work for you when opening the headlamps is required on some models.
These boards do not affect your ECE, DOT, SAE, or any other certification and will allow you to pass any local or international safety inspection. The boards use advanced CAD circuity for long life in all sorts of environments since they are basically sealed inside the headlights, there is no need for additional parts for weather protection.
