This deluxe set is printed and bound with higher quality materials when compared to their trade hardback counterparts.  It is printed offset/litho for a higher quality printing of the text block. The paper used on these editions is Munken Pure 100gsm, a premium paper that not only looks and feels beautiful but is acid free with age resistance properties.  The binding is Smyth-sewn for a more attractive and durable binding.  The boards are of a thicker card stock and are covered in premium Metallic black cloth.  This cloth is a hybrid of cotton and synthetic materials and is strong and wear resistant as well as having a beautiful finish.

** This is a very heavy set of books, weighing over 3.75kg before being securely packed.  Please note the direct shipping costs for non-UK customers as set out underneath the plot summary (below).  As Canada's inward parcel limit for me to send direct is only 2kg, the books would have to be sent as probably 3 separate parcels to Canada **

Plot summary for 'Shards of Earth ' only

From the author of the thrilling science-fiction epic Children of Time, winner of the prestigious Arthur C. Clarke Award. Shards of Earth is the first high-octane, far-future space adventure in Adrian Tchaikovsky's Final Architecture trilogy.  Winner of the 2021 BSFA Award for Best Novel.

The war is over. Its heroes forgotten.  Until one chance discovery . . .

Idris has neither aged nor slept since they remade his mind in the war.  And one of humanity’s heroes now scrapes by on a freelance salvage vessel, to avoid the attention of greater powers.

Eighty years ago, Earth was destroyed by an alien enemy.  Many escaped, but millions more died.  So mankind created enhanced humans such as Idris - who could communicate mind-to-mind with our aggressors.  Then these ‘Architects’ simply disappeared and Idris and his kind became obsolete.

Now, Idris and his crew have something strange, abandoned in space.  It’s clearly the work of the Architects – but are they really returning?  And if so, why?  Hunted by gangsters, cults and governments, Idris and his crew race across the galaxy as they search for answers.  For they now possess something of incalculable value, and many would kill to obtain it.

For UK mainland - all items above a fairly modest value I will send via either signed for Royal Mail and/or courier options whichever is the best, this being largely dependent on the weight of the object.

I am more than happy to post overseas on the basis that all items will be posted by Airmail with a signature required on delivery.  If you are overseas, please feel free to enquire about postage charges ahead of registering a bid if you are unsure of the cost I may have outlined above, where costs may be prohibitive depending upon where you are in the world and the weight of the item, many thanks.

Feedback – I will be delighted to provide feedback for a winning bidder once they have done so first to ensure that the item has arrived safely.  In the event a winning bidder has any queries around a product following receipt, I would be pleased to deal with any queries via my business e-mail address or the Ebay message function in an effort to resolve matters ahead of any mutual feedback being provided, thanks.
