THIS IS A PAIR (2) OF FINE VINTAGE ORIGINAL WATERCOLOR PAINTINGS BY FRANTISEK KAVAN 1866-1941.

Please look at the photos to see the fine details in these magnificent seascape themed watercolors.  They are painted on embossed FRENCH watercolor paper and are so finely executed words cannot do them justice.  From the details in the seagulls to the boats and the plants on the beach, you will spend time admiring the exceptional skill of the world reknown artist FRANTISEK KAVAN.

There is some discoloration around the edges of the paintings from the previous acid mats and frames. I have removed them from the frames and they are being sold "as is" and unframed.

I had them appraised by an art expert at $600.00 each so they are a great value.

The larger of the pair is a painting of a single boat and is 13X16 inches in size. It's signed in the lower right hand side "KAVAN". The slightly smaller painting of the two boats is 11X15 inches and not signed.  I am selling them as a pair.

Frantisek Kavan was a Czech painter and poet who studied in Prague under Marak from 1889-1896. A humble likable person, KAVAN specialized in realistic landscapes and has been exhibited worldwide.
