The oil pan gasket is designed to seal the area between the oil pan and the engine block to prevent any oil leaks.

Oil Pan Gasket Installstions:
- Remove splash shield and bellhousing cover while oil is draining.
- In front-wheel-drive vehicles, the oil pan should be mated to the transaxle.
- Confirm all oil pan bolt locations.
- Remove the wheel well liner pieces for access to bolts on the outboard passenger side.
- Remove all bolts, and install the new oil pan gasket replacement.
- Scrape off any gasket residue and clean all sealing surfaces thoroughly with a solvent.
- Reattach any accessory brackets, refill the crankcase with oil, start the engine and inspect for leaks.
