One of a variety of antiques donated to Mano a Mano in recent months this is a Johann Seltmann serving platter.  The item is 12" across and 1 1/2" tall.  The rose motif is sharp and bright.  The dish edging is slightly raised topped with gold lines and the outer edge is gold trimmed.   This item was produced between 1901 and 1932 in Bavaria, Germany.  I am calling it a serving dish or platter rather than a plate because of it's inside depth.

All proceeds from the sale of this item will be used to send medical supplies to Bolivia by Mano a Mano.  Mano a Mano has been working in partnership with rural Bolivian communities for over 25 years building medical clinics, schools, roads and water projects where there were none before.  Add to your china collection and help others thousands of miles away all with one sweet purchase.

Let me know if you have any questions or concerns and thanks for stopping in to check this item out.
