Quality Vintage Tin Smith's/ Riveting Cross Pein Hammer made from hand forged cast  Sheffield steel.

It's stamped with the maker's name F.J.Brindley&Sons and 3/83.

In 1864 Frederick James Brindley founded his manufacturing company. He was a high quality forging specialist who became a solver of many forging problems.

The company is still a family concern; the board of directors today consists of members of their 4th generation.

This lovely old hammer has it's original sturdy wooden handle ( which does show open grains in the wood, these just add to it's appeal).

It's 30cms in length, head width is 14.5cms and weight is approx 800g

A great useful, collectable hand tool in good condition!
