RARE Antique William J. Walley Blended Glazed Pottery - c.1900-1910

Beautiful RARE Antique William J. Walley pottery discover in Connecticut, just a few hours from where William J Walley lived!

6.5 Tall X 14 inches around the widest area of most bulbous area of the vase
the spout is 3 inches from one end to the next
the bottom is 3 inches arcoss
Also it has a nice weight to it
This is a fantastic example of Walley  Pottery.
The glaze is mesmerizing!

WJW  pieces are  highly sought after and is  part of the early Arts and Craft movement. He used a wide variety of glazes, more than the Grueby or Merrimac potteries to whom his work is often compared to. The pottery studio  was located in West Sterling Massachusetts  where he began his work in 1898,  He died in 1919.
