Indian Cam Lobes from SkoobyzzStuff
This listing is for a pair of Indian Chief Bandit Cam Lobes.
Our cam lobes are designed for 1931 - 1953 V Twins from 30.5, 45, 57, 74 and 80 cubic inch engines. The cams are made from 8620 alloy steel and are case hardened to 60 Rockwell C scale by .060 deep. Years ago we copied a set of NOS cams to get the proper profile for the Shunks and Ollies we make today. Bandits are Ollies with more duration.
The OLLIE cam is really good all around cam. Quiet with plenty of power, good for every day ride-ability, smooth idle and easy on the valve train. They will typically deliver more power with stock followers than Bonnie lobes with Bonnie followers. Ollie lobes with stock intake and Bonnie followers will out perform Ollie cams with stock followers.
The Ollie and Bandit will work with standard followers and you do not have to modify the engine cases to fit.
The BANDIT has a lot more mid range power for going up hills or passing cars and is not as hard on the valve train as is the Shunk. It does have a slight lope at idle but it is not detrimental to your ride-ability.
The SHUNK is a "racing" cam and delivers more high rpm power than any of the other cams but will substantially shorten the valve train life. They may require modifications such as material to be removed from your heads and or engine cases.
The BONNEVILLE has a higher lift, longer duration and provides more power but not speed. The Bonneville performs better than the Savannah but does require different lifters.
The SAVANNAH also provides a higher lift, longer duration and more power but not speed.
All of our cams will work fine with stock followers.
Shunks have a 1.08 Base Circle, 1.55 Height
Ollies and Bandits have a 1.06 Base Circle, 1.55 Height
Savannah Chiefs have a 1.100 Base Circle, 1.520 Height
Savannah Scouts have a 1.225 Base Circle, 1.645 Height
