Ondaatje signed this to me when I worked at the Booksmith here in San Francisco. He came to the store several times. I have seen many authors and illustrators sign books, but he was amazing to watch - he signs his name very fast and very fluidly - a lovely swooping motion!

This book was bought new and is in very good condition. I take very good care of my books in my smoke-free environment.
