The 16-inch laminate maple body style is a standard for archtop guitars and is used as a guideline by all manufacturers. This latest arrival is a 1969-1975 model with a 3-piece mahogany neck. The 16-inch laminate maple body produces a thick, smooth sound that's versatile, from traditional Joe Pass-esque styles to blues and R&B. The serial number matches a wide range, typical of this era, and we can confirm it was made in the early 1970s. However, the potentiometer dates cannot be determined due to the original circuit's remaining pot covers. There is no back-of-neck volume. The pickups have been replaced with Gibson 490-series pickups. While the body has some top sagging, the guitar is in perfect condition and ready for use. The remaining original frets are in excellent condition, and the truss rod still has plenty of tightening room, making the neck in excellent condition for continued use. The body has some minor scratches and weather checking, giving it a dignified appearance.
