Thank you for taking a look at this rare vintage Asprey & Co. of London sterling silver tea set. It includes a teapot, coffee pot and sugar serving bowl. Gorgeous wood handles and toppers. The rounded art deco style includes filigrees at all four corners on each piece. Each has its royal sterling marks on the side in the upper quadrant accompanied by the "A & CO" maker mark. Each is also marked on the bottom with "Asprey London," the design indicator (76650/2) and city of Assay, B - Birmingham (the exception is the coffee pot which has the Asprey mark on the side and some of the other marks on the bottom but not Asprey). The lids of the teapot and coffee pot also have their own separate sterling silver marks (passant lion), the teapot's being on its underside, whereas the coffee pot's is located on the outer side rim.

This set has been meticulously kept and shows minor signs of wear (no dents or gouges). The handle of the teapot jiggles slightly. Each piece was kept in a silver tarnish retardant pouch (included) at almost all times. To my knowledge this design is from 1934. This set was originally purchased in 1936 in London, England. This is a lovely set that I think will be appreciated by any collector. The set has no personal monograms/engravings and weighs approximately 985 grams (31.66 troy ounces).

This set will be carefully packed, photographed and sent with insurance and signature confirmation for our mutual security. Thank you for your interest!
