Large antique engraving by Willhalm, NY and the New York History Co., most likely late 19th century. This large engraving came from the estate of a man who worked for Barnum & Bailey Circus as their publicist or "media" guy. I had photos of him with the Circus on it's grand European tour at the turn of the century, he arranged their billboard advertising. This engraving got separated from that photo group and I just found it again after many years. Unfortunately right now I can't remember the man's name but he is in documents about the Circus company.
Measures 16.75” x 12.25”. 2 corners missing, vertical tear on bottom center border, light soiling and staining.
