About Artist :

Jiang Hanting (1903-february 6, 1963), known as Shangyu, also known as Di and gengyuan, with pen names of Jiang Hong and Shixi, with the word Hanting and the name of Hanting resident. His studio is called Huofang. He is from Yushan Town, Changshu, Jiangsu Province. He is a modern painter.

At the age of 16, he studied flower and bird painting in taosongxi, Tongli, and began to sell paintings for a living at the age of 28. The middle-aged lived in Shanghai and once taught in Shanghai Academy of fine arts. After the founding of the people's Republic of China, he became a painter of Shanghai Chinese Painting Academy; He is a member of China Artists Association and a director of Shanghai Branch of China Artists Association; He was a member of the second and third CPPCC Shanghai Municipal Committee; He died in Shanghai on February 6, 1963 at the age of 60.

His handed down works include the book of flowers and the picture of animals. In 1960, at the invitation of Premier Zhou Enlai, he drew a huge picture of red plum for the Great Hall of the people. He published the picture of Jiang Hanting's animals, the famous contemporary painter Jiang Hanting, the picture book of Jiang Hanting's animals and so on.r .
