This book
celebrates established icons, newly discovered gems, and contemporary
masterworks that represent the highest expression of Scandinavian design
and response to the environment. Just under fifty projects are featured
in detail, ordered according to the way in which different light
conditions have imparted qualities to the buildings. Henry Plummer
treats his subject with a uniquely authoritative perspective in which
the words resonate with his artfully taken images.
Review
"In
the past few decades, Scandinavian architects have come up with some
breathtaking ways to weave . . . extreme, mystical-seeming light
conditions into the very designs of their buildings. Nordic Light . . . showcases 50 of these elegant solutions . . . in more than 500 radiant photographs.”"
