Technical Features & Compatibility

Motor Fitment: With this conversion, you can install standard 36mm motors (540 or 550 type) or massive 1/8 scale motors with a 42mm diameter featuring M3 mounting holes (e.g., Castle Creations 1515 Mamba Monster, Leopard 40 series, Tekin T8, Team Orion Vortex 8, Tenshock 802/812 series).
Thermal Efficiency: The thick 8mm aluminum motor mount acts as a solid heat sink, keeping your motor running significantly cooler under heavy loads.
Gearing Flexibility: Allows you to use a very large teeth range of pinion gears, from very small to huge, depending on your preferred final drive ratio.
Chassis Upgrade: Compatible with all factory electric (VE) D-series cars as a heavy-duty aluminum upgrade. Simply replace the stock plastic diff bulkhead with this rigid 7075 alloy mount.

Installation & Requirements

To complete the brushless conversion on your nitro Kyosho D-series car, you will need to:

Replace the stock plastic center differential bulkhead with this aluminum motor mount. No permanent chassis modifications or new holes are required for the mount itself!
Trim the plastic radio box right before the steering servo (please view the listing photos for exact details), or completely remove it to secure the battery tray to the chassis.

        ⚠️ CRITICAL BATTERY TRAY COMPATIBILITY NOTE:

        While the aluminum motor mount fits all nitro and electric D-series chassis, the optional plastic battery tray is strictly compatible ONLY with the nitro DBX 2.0, DRX, and DMT. The battery tray is NOT compatible with short-chassis models such as the DST, DRT, and the older first-generation DBX. If you wish to install the tray on a VE chassis, you will need to drill new mounting holes manually.
