This is another example of the lamp work beads from Western Germany made in the 1960’s. They look amazingly like natural Rhodochrosite with the random tendrils of whiter area just like the stone!  Each bead is made over a torch and you can actually see the faint twist lines from the maker spinning the mandril as the bead is formed.  These beads are heavier than pressed beads and they feel wonderful in your hands and in your designs.  Lamp work beads are made one at a time and each bead is a little different in size and shape, and in other small details.  They measure around 10mm with some a bit smaller and some a bit larger.  Take a look at the photos, they are an important part of the description. In our stores each strand retails for $18.00 and in each lot here, you get two strands with free shipping!  There are about 22 beads on each strand for a total of 44 beads in each order.  FREE SHIPPING
